I had forgotten to post a couple of cycling mileposts for the season, like the first time I rode to work in short sleeves (a couple weeks ago). I rode to work in short pants for the first time this season this morning, though.
Jenn and I went to see Bicycle Dreams last night. If it's showing near you (Lexington, KY on Tuesday, the 13th, for example), you owe it to yourself to see it. Having been on a crew for the 2010 event (most of this movie was shot in 2005), I can attest to its realistic look at what drives folks to do such things, and the dangers they face.
To throw down the mileage numbers: January's total was 562, February's was 570 (more miles than seven months of 2010, and a touch more than three or four months of 2011). March is off to a slow start--I've driven to work three times already this month, due to lack of gumption in wet weather. I'm not going to stress over it, though.
As noted in a prior post or two, Bluegrass Bicycle, my employer for the last couple of years, is for sale. I have a couple of options I'm exploring, but nothing definitive at the moment.
