I felt compelled to ride the John Carr tribute/fund-raising ride today. I didn't know John, but as a fellow cyclist, his death by motorist was a terrible event for me.

It was good to see so may riders out there today. I was somewhere near the latter half of the group, and enjoyed seeing the large front groups go by the other way on Northwestern Parkway.

The C-J article said something like "over a hundred" cyclists were on hand. I would say they under-estimated, by more than half, how many were there.
