Yay! Rode to work two days in a row! On the Vanguard, no less.
I've been meaning to mention that, over the recent weekend, many fruit trees along my commute route have all-but exploded into bloom. It's fun to see the trees white with blossoms as harbingers of spring. I've been enjoying the Daffodils for a week or two as well.
It's also been fun to consider that some of my riding (at least homeward-bound) has been in short pants instead of tights. More and more of my afternoon trips home are done wearing short-sleeve jerseys instead of jersey plus arm warmers plus wind shell. It's getting warmer! My morning rides are still best done with a wind shell, but this morning I was only wearing a short-sleeved jersey under the Illuminite jacket, instead of another wind shell and a zip-neck long sleeve base layer.
On a sad note: FedEx lost two pilots and an MD-11 full of packages Monday morning, when the plane crash-landed at Narita airport outside Tokyo. Security camera footage leaked out early in the day, and can be seen if one wants to click here. I must warn, though, it's pretty grisly. At least one version of this video (of course, the cleanest one I've seen) has already been removed.
